Set-up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Supplier Profile Access

  • Updated

This article explains how to set up and use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) when accessing the Supplier Portal. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one-time verification code in addition to your username and password.

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security feature that requires, two forms of verification when you sign in:

  1. Username and password and
  2. One-time verification code generated by an Authenticator app or sent to your mobile phone (Note: The code will never be sent your email inbox).

Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without the second authentication factor.

Why Is 2FA Mandatory?

2FA helps protect:

  • Sensitive commercial and financial information, including banking details.
  • Purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
  • Supplier accounts from unauthorized access, fraud, and phishing attempts.
  • The broader supply chain from cybersecurity threats.

2FA is widely recognized as an industry best practice for account security.
