Hosted Catalog Template Field Explanations

  • Updated

When creating a Standard (Hosted) Catalog, suppliers must upload a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file that adheres to the Unimarket Hosted Catalog Template. This template is specifically formatted, to ensure product details are correctly mapped into Unimarket fields.

Template Requirements

  • File Format: The file must be saved as a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file. In applications like Excel, use the Save as function and select CSV (comma delimited) from the file type dropdown.

  • Headers: The column headers must remain unaltered (not removed or changed), to ensure the file loads correctly.

  • Errors: If your catalog file generates an error during upload. The file will fail to load, and you must correct the error(s) in Unimarket. Refer to the help article Creating/Uploading a Standard (Hosted) Catalog for troubleshooting.

Adding Images to Your Catalog

Images must be in JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF format. Images larger than 500x500 pixels will be resized; smaller images will remain in their original size.

Method 1: Using a ZIP File

  1. Gather all images and ensure they are in the correct format.

  2. Reference the exact file name of the image in the Image Name column (e.g., imagename.jpg).

  3. Create a ZIP file that contains ONLY the images and the Catalog CSV file.

  4. Upload the ZIP file using the Create Catalog function.

Note: You can only use one image method at a time. Image names cannot contain spaces (e.g., use yourimagename.jpg, not your image name.jpg). Once uploaded, the images are hosted on Unimarket. When you export products later, you will see a URL in the Image Name column.

Method 2: Using a URL

  1. If the images are already hosted online (e.g., on an online store), insert the full image URL in the Image Name column to ensure the image appears as the product image (e.g.,https//:yourwesbite.com/imagename.jpg).
