The Delete Option is Greyed Out and Unable to Remove a Contact Person

At time, when suppliers are attempting to delete a supplier contact person, on the Company Profile screen. The delete option is greyed out and the ability to remove the contact person is disabled. This article will assist with ensuring the contact person can be deleted.

 

Why Is the Delete Option Greyed Out

Contact persons can be designated to the overall profile (the Company Profile screen > Contacts tab) and on a specific customers contact list.

If the Delete option is greyed out. This means the specific contact person is designated on the Company Profile and on a specific customer's contact list.

 

Step 1: Review All Customers' Specific Contact Lists

  • Click the Home icon on the left side panel.

  • Under the Customers header, select each customer's name. To review the contact person designated as a contact.

 

  • If the contact person is listed under the Contact Management header and set as Default. Select the Manage icon.
    • Note: If the Manage icon is greyed out, select enable the Reset Defaults toggle.
  • In the Select Contact field, click the dropdown and select the desired contact person.
  • Once completed, select OK.

 

  • Once the new contact person is assigned, select Actions and Set as Default.
  • If desired, you can remove the previously assigned contact person, by selecting Actions and Remove. 

 

Step 2: Delete the Contact Person From the Company Profile

  • Select Profile on the left side panel.

  • Click Company Profile.

  • Select the Contacts tab.

  • Locate the contact person you would like to remove.

  • Select Actions and click Delete.
