Summary
Punchout (Roundtrip) functionality allows suppliers to host their branded product content and pricing on their own website while providing customers with seamless, secure access directly from within the Unimarket platform.
How Punchout Works
Automatic Login: A buyer clicks a link within Unimarket, which automatically logs them into the supplier's external website. Unimarket securely passes credentials to the supplier site, authenticating the buyer and enabling the display of buyer/account-specific items and pricing.
Shopping: The buyer browses and selects products on the supplier's external website.
Roundtrip: After products are selected, the Punchout service sends the required item details (the shopping cart) back into Unimarket for purchasing.
Order Processing: The order is routed through the normal requisition and approval processes within Unimarket and is eventually converted into a purchase order that is sent back to the supplier for order fulfillment.
Supported Punchout Integration Types
Unimarket supports two types of Punchout catalog integration standards:
| Integration Type | Preference | Setup Requirements & Details |

| cXML | Preferred | For more in-depth information, refer to the cXML specification (link to cXML specification, as implied by original text). |
| OCI | Supported | Requires a URL, Username, and Password for setup. Details on the OCI standard can be found here. |
