Summary
If a connected customer requires a Tax Profile (W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E) to be completed. This must be done to ensure your information is up-to-date. This article explains how to access and complete the required tax forms.
Prerequisites
Audience: US Supplier (Individual or Company/Organization)
Intent: Complete or update W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E forms.
Access: Must be logged into the Unimarket supplier portal.
Note on Delegation: If you do not have the necessary tax information, a new Administrator user can be created to complete it. Refer to the help article Create & Manage Users.
Steps
Access the Tax Profile Screen
Select Profile from the menu on the left side panel.
Click Tax Profile.

On the Tax Profile screen, select the appropriate form: Create W-9, Create W-8BEN, or Create W-8BEN-E.
Note: Mandatory fields are identified by a red asterisk and must be completed.
Complete Desired Tax Form
Follow the applicable instructions based on whether you are registering as an Individual or a Company.

1. Insert applicable information in all mandatory fields (marked with a red asterisk), ensuring it matches your physical/electronic tax document. 2. In the Business name/disregarded entity name field, insert your First and Last Name. 3. In the Ownership Status Selection field, select Individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC. 4. In the Type field, select EIN, and in the Tax ID field, insert your SSN. 5. In the Business Classifications field, select the applicable categories for your business (e.g., Minority and Woman Owned Businesses (MWBE) or Income Types). If none of the categories apply, select None from the dropdown. 6. Are you involved in Federal debarment proceedings: If you have been contacted by the Federal Government about debarment or suspension. You should select Yes and provide additional information. If not applicable, click No. 7. Once all mandatory fields are completed, select Submit. 8. A Submit pop-up box will appear to read and agree to the certification. Key in your First and Last Name in the Name of Submitter field. 9. Select Submit. |

In the Ownership Status Selection field, select the appropriate option (e.g., C Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, or Trust/estate). 4. In the Tax ID field, insert the company's EIN. 5. In the Business Classifications field, select the applicable categories for your business (e.g., Minority and Woman Owned Businesses (MWBE) or Income Types). If none of the categories apply, select None from the dropdown. 6. Are you involved in Federal debarment proceedings: If you have been contacted by the Federal Government about debarment or suspension. You should select Yes and provide additional information. If not applicable, click No. 7. Once all mandatory fields are completed, select Submit. 8. A Submit pop-up box will appear to read and agree to the certification. You can review the updated/submitted form on the Submitted W-9, Submitted W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E tab on the Tax Profile screen.
Update a Submitted Tax Profile
To update your submitted tax details (e.g., adding a new Tax ID#):
Select Profile on the left side panel
Click Tax Profile.
Select a new Create W-9, Create W-8BEN, or Create W-8BEN-E option.
Once all relevant information has been updated, select Submit at the bottom of the screen.
A Submit pop-up box will appear to read and agree to the certification. Key in your First and Last Name in the Name of Submitter field.
Select Submit.
You can review the updated/submitted form on the Submitted W-9, Submitted W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E tab on the Tax Profile screen.
Resolve "In Progress" Lock (If Forms are Greyed Out)
If you are unable to select the desired tax form on the Introduction tab because the options are greyed out, it means a tax form is currently In Progress.
Click the In Progress tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Delete.
Return to the Introduction tab and click the desired tax form to complete.
